The Clubhouse out at Tanunda is enriched with history and the site dates back to 1891. Renown as an icon in the Barossa, this establishment has been well known for it’s community service over the years, however, these days it’s more about the hospitality. One of the main features inside the dining area is the wall length photograph which gives the illusion of dining amongst the vineyards. With regards to dining, it’s all about local fresh produce combined with their extensive wine list. Their speciality is steak and seafood, however, the traditional pub favourites are also available.

For lunch, I ordered the Bloody Big Burger. The meal was ready after a 15 minute wait and was nicely presented on a wooden chopping board. The beef patty was nice and thick, and its diameter was the same size as the bun. The meat was tender and succulent, with a nice pinkish…
