Reflection: The only way you can succeed is if you don’t give up and keep trying. Everyone fails every now and then, that’s life but if you let it get to you and give up you will never succeed in life or in anything. Some people fail and give up, but when you fail that just means you have to try even hard the next time.
So this week I thought I would share with you two pancake recipes – one savoury and one sweet.
Now, there is nothing wrong with traditional sugar and lemon, or even Nutella (or if you are my sister – triple layers of pancake, Nutella, sliced banana and squirty cream), but sometimes it is good to ring the changes, do something a bit different.
These pancakes contain mashed potato, which makes them more dense and a bit fluffier than traditional pancakes. The cooked beetroot is fried in butter with a splash of balsamic vinegar, honey and fresh thyme to bring out the sweetness, which contrasts delightfully with the tangy saltiness of the feta and the peppery-ness of the rocket (is peppery-ness a word? k: we discovered this little dessert place hiding in eastwood (and you can see that we discovered it some time ago, the christmas decorations are still up – i’m just horrible at editing photos and getting things doneshlkfhsdkfh) and the patbingsu is amazinngggg. as is their iced tea.. we’ve been there a couple times since then and this is fast becoming a favourite favourite in my life. ;3

I bet I’ve got a few folks scratching their heads with the title of this blog post, wondering what is “skyramisu” and who goes, nevermind goes annually, to Iceland in December? Well, let me begin by saying Skyramisu is not a misspelling of Tiramisu, the coffee flavoured Italian dessert. It is an adaptation of that popular treat using Icelandic Skyr and cream cheese instead of mascarpone cheese. Tiramisu with an Icelandic twist if you will. The resulting dessert is simply divine! There are a few other differences between the two as well. Instead of using coffee soaked ladyfingers, wafer cookies are used here. Prince Polo, a very popular chocolate bar in Iceland, was the ingredient called for in the original recipe, but since I couldn’t find Prince Polo here in the States, I went with Quadratini biscuits, little bite sized wafer cookies in dark chocolate and cappuccino flavours made…

Duties and responsibilities: Perfusionist operate heart-lung machines, they administrate some type of anesthesia, and medication.
Education: They must have a high school diploma and a strong background on chemistry, biology, science subjects. They also must go through some type of training.
Reflection: I personally believe I would like to be a Perfusionist because it seem like an easy job but Im not that good with biology and science subjects.
